One of Those Weeks

Well I have had probably the longest week ever. First, I am so bored at work because my boss took some work away from me so she could do it to keep busy. Then, Tom is on night shift which is ok I have time to myself which I love and I have some things to do but I miss him. On top of those two aggravations two days ago I got home to a broken water heater. For those who don't know what that means it spells HUGE mess. I had water all over my room and then had to go without water for a night. That wasn't so much a big deal but it was just a hassle. Now that my water heater was fixed yesterday I guess there is dirt in the pipes and have stopped up my shower head therefore...NO water is coming out. I tried taking my shower head off to let it clean out but it is like welded on there. SSSSOOOO once again I had to walk to Tom's room to take a shower. It is such a pain because I have many things to do in my room. I am right in the middle of reorganizing and packing some trunks to mail home. On my medical trip to Dubai I went on a major shopping spree. Dubai is awesome and you can find anything there. I only took a small suite case because I knew I wouldn't be gone long and had plenty of room when I left. On the way back was another story. I could barely zip my suite case and my back pack was stuffed full of things too. I got some great outfits and I am so excited to go on vacation to show them off. I will get to wear a few things when I come home in June but the majority of it is going to get to be worn on my August vacation. I am so excited about my August trip. My Mom and I are going to Paris for a week and then once my mom flies home I am taking the train to London for a week and then on to Dubai for a week at the Atlantis on the Palm. These are my plans anyways and hopefully they will go accordingly. Well that is how my week has gone just had to vent LOL!

Sushi

While I was in Dubai getting well I stayed at the Renaissance Dubai Hotel and they had a great restaurant called Spice Island. On the second or third day I was there I was feeling well enough to leave my room and have dinner in the restaurant and I didn't regret it. Ever since I was in Thailand and Mia and I ate sushi I LOVE it and have been dying to have it again. I knew that once I got well that was something I was going to seek out in Dubai if I had time before I came back to Iraq. WEEELLLL, I did have time and it was right in my hotel. Spice Island is a buffet restaurant that host different themes. While I was there they had a Mongolian and Sri Lankan special going on so besides the Chinese, Indian, and Mexican food they also had Mongolian and Sri Lankan. I am all about trying new foods but over by the Mongolian was the sushi station and I could not pass it up. I got a plate full of sushi and I enjoyed every morsel of it. I also tried wasabe for the first time and it was a pleasant surprise. I really like horse radish and I am not sure if that's what it is but it did taste like it. I love eating sushi because it feels you up but it isn't a heavy full and it really sticks with you. I enjoyed my sushi meal and only had my cell phone but I did get a picture. I went back a couple more times to indulge myself before I left. I can't wait to go back and enjoy some more raw treats. MMMMM MMMMMM Good!!!!

My NEW BIG Girl Hair Cut

Check it out people I got my big girl hair cut LOL!!! Right when my hair was getting really long again I got brave and whacked it. I will probably regret this in a couple weeks when the new wears off and everyone will have to listen to me gripe how I want my hair long again and to not let me chop it off ever again. For now though, I like it and its a nice change especially since Satan is cranking up the fire in Hell. LOL (my little Iraq joke) My poor locks have been begging for a trim for a month or so now probably longer and I just haven't made the time or found the right person to trust to cut it. On Sunday I had to come to Dubai to visit a doctor so I took the time today to take full advantage of the salon in my wonderful Marriott hotel. I went in to get a trim and once the man was almost done I changed my mind. I had been thinking of the bob thing for a while but I figured it would make my face look fat. The girl doing my nails has the same hair cut and I said wait I want you to cut it like hers. They all stopped and looked at me with this excited expression and said REALLY I said yep go for it and this is what I got:
(ignore the lack of makeup and gross Megan our main focus is the hair)
