Since I had Wednesday off Kaylynn and I had planned on floating at the lake but
instead Jay and Bec invited us on the boat which is a million times
better. We ate a Mexican lunch and then headed out to sun
ourselves and drink a little beer. It was a successful day ending
with dinner at the marina.

Movin' On Up!
Yep, I’m referring to myself. LOL The past couple of months I have been working
with the devils wife and she was probably worse than the devil himself.
Anyways, I was trying to work some things out either in finding a new job
or moving to another area of the bank to get away from her and her evil
ways. I had a couple interviews and one that I was REALLY excited
about. I got offered the job and everything but the same week that
all this was going down the devil’s wife was getting knocked down a few pegs as
well. The bank found out that I was considering leaving and we had
a good heart to heart...the CEO and I. He pretty much told me that
we needed to make a deal and do whatever it took to keep me here at the
bank.....
Well, last Friday we worked our deal after I got the job
offer from the other company. The devils wife was getting sent
back to hell where she belonged and I got her job!
Teller
Supervisor!
I also got a good raise too. $$$$$$
I was so
excited because even though it’s not a lot I feel like I’m moving again and not
just sitting in the same position spinning my wheels.
So far it
has gone really smooth besides my Week of Mondays and I think I have a great
team that works well together.
Yay Me and my promotion!
Not only that but Thursday wrapped up Summer 1 for school.
I planned on doing classes all through the summer but I feel like I
deserve a break and so I’m taking July off and will of course get back into the
swing of things in August when the Fall semester starts.
A Week of Mondays
This week has been crazy in any and every way possible.
It started
out with a horrible weekend that I don’t even want to rehash in this post and
then carried over into my week. Now things did start to turn my
way on Wednesday and have slowly been getting better by the day so since today
is Friday and we are starting the weekend again I’m hoping for success and
happiness for the upcoming days.
Not only was everyday a Monday at home but work was the main thing!
Monday was obviously a Monday
Tuesday was the day before a holiday and the 3rd so that equals
Monday madness
we were off one glorious and much needed day on Wednesday
Thursday was like coming back from the weekend which means Monday
Friday, which in the banking world is always crazy so that equals a Monday as
well.
SSSOOOO as you can see I have had it and this week for sure
broke me in on my new position.
(post coming soon)
New Additions
About 2 weeks ago Lincoln came home from a night shift and said come look at our new chickens babe. UUHHH it's 6 in the morning but ok. He had bought a rooster, 4 hens, and got a chick for free from a co-worker. He had been wanting more hens but after the whole hen bully issue he got a rooster too. The new chickens are really pretty and fat and make our old ones look terrible but our little chick is so tame. When you come up to the coop she just runs up to the door and wait for you to come in. I love picking her up. Sometimes she gets a little antsy and want to fly up on your shoulder to hang out and observe.
Also in the pic notice my RED hair!!! UUHHH yeah that wasn't planned but I just went with it as I'm trying to let all the color grow off my hair. It was supposed to be a dirty blond color but my hair reacted bad to the salon color. I told Lincoln this is what I get for trying to be all high maintenance and change myself. I have for sure learned my lesson and will for now on just be plain ole dirty blond Megan with Marsha Brady straight hair. :(
| not sure what's up with blogger but this is the best upload it would give me...line through the center and all |

Being a Grown Up
| Sunset from my back door one night |
Do you ever feel so accomplished and proud to be an adult and not just an adult but a responsible, working part of society who takes care of all their business? Yes, there are hiccups here and there and money doesn’t grow on trees BUT for the most part it crosses your mind like yeah….I got it made. I have these aha moments every now and then and the last time I had one I was driving to work just daydreaming and it just sort hit me like dang I’m an adult and I have a job that pays my bills (for the most part) LOL I have my own home that is nice and clean and I have all these things in my life that are going great (mostly). I’m not in high school anymore and I have the freedom to do what I please, when I please, and where I please to do it. It’s just nice realizing that sometimes because if you are anything like me and my friends I will always picture myself and my closest friends the way we were when we were 18. It’s almost like I’m just a REALLY mature 18 year old. Me and my girlfriends talked about this at brunch a while back. It’s like we all think of ourselves as responsible adults in 18 yr old form. LOL Instead of talking about the upcoming pep rally and football game we are talking about how NaShae and her husband are coming along with the house they are building and our best friend’s wedding and her upcoming home adventure. It’s refreshing and strange all the same. I’m glad I can feel proud of where I am and where I’m going but also happy that we still think of ourselves as young and can grow with each other. I’m not really sure how this post went from a revelation of adulthood to friends growing up but hey just go with it….You get the point.
Do you ever feel or have these AHA MOMENTS?
