Piper's Bachelorette Party

Last weekend was one of my best friend's, Piper, bachelorette party in Grapevine at the Gaylord Texan.  Saturday Rachael and I drove up early to get some last minute things before meeting all the girls at a sports bar in downtown Grapevine for happy hour.  After our happy hour meet up we left to head over to the hotel and start the party.  The theme was 80's but Piper wasn't privy to this detail or really any of them except that we were throwing her a party.  Once she got to the hotel she realized that's where we were all staying but still didn't know there was a theme until she walked in the room.

After gorging ourselves on pizza and cocktails, Piper opened her naughty gifts from all of and then we got dressed in our 80's wear.  I love the 80's and it is always fun dressing up and having a blast with a bunch of friends.  Once primped and ready to go we headed out to the Glass Catus, a bar in the Gaylord Texan resort area.  They had an 80's cover band, The Molly Ringwalds, and they were GREAT!  They played some amazing 80's hits that really got us going.  We danced and sang the night away along with Piper's last days of being "single".  :) After breaking out our sleeping bags and air mattresses to finish off a long day we slept like little tipsy babies.  The next morning most of the girls had to get going but me, Piper, Rachael, NaShae, and Shannon went to Cracker Barrel and had a good country brunch before heading home.

The Gaylord is A-MAZ-ING!  I was sort of bummed that we didn't get to enjoy more of the hotel but that's just more of an incentive to go back for a romantic getaway or a mom/daughter trip.

Check out these cute and delicious cupcakes that one of Rachael's colleagues made!
NaShae found this beautiful LOL 80's dress on Craig's List for Piper to pimp the entire night.  I didn't think Piper would be all that happy to wear it but she loved the idea and hopped right into it. Oh and it was a PERFECT fit.
